Wisdom Tooth Extraction in Greater Noida

Safe removal of painful or impacted wisdom teeth.

About this treatment

Wisdom teeth are the last molars to appear, usually in the late teens or twenties. When there is not enough room, they can come in at an angle, stay stuck under the gum, or trap food and bacteria. Removing a problem wisdom tooth is a routine procedure that stops repeated pain and protects the teeth beside it.

When you may need it

  • Pain or swelling at the very back of the jaw
  • Gum around the tooth that is red, sore or keeps getting infected
  • Food repeatedly getting trapped behind the last tooth
  • Bad taste or odour from the back of the mouth
  • Difficulty opening your mouth fully
  • Damage or decay in the neighbouring tooth

How treatment works

  1. X-ray and planningAn X-ray shows the position of the tooth and its roots so we can plan the safest approach.
  2. NumbingThe area is numbed before we start. You should feel pressure but not pain.
  3. RemovalSome teeth come out easily; impacted ones may need a small opening in the gum or careful sectioning.
  4. Stitches if neededWhere required, stitches help the gum heal neatly.
  5. Aftercare briefingWe give clear written and spoken instructions before you go home.
What it feels like. Most people are surprised by how manageable the procedure feels once the area is numb. Afterwards some swelling, stiffness and soreness for a few days is normal. Plan a quieter day or two so you can rest.

Aftercare and tips

  • Bite on the gauze for the time we advise to help a clot form
  • Do not rinse forcefully, spit or use a straw for the first day
  • Eat soft, cool food and avoid very hot drinks for the first day
  • Use a cold pack on the cheek for the first day, then warm salt-water rinses as advised
  • Avoid smoking while the socket heals
  • Call us if pain gets worse after the first few days, or if swelling or fever increases

Common questions

Does every wisdom tooth need to be removed?

No. If a wisdom tooth is healthy, fully erupted and easy to clean, it can stay. We recommend removal only when it causes or is likely to cause problems.

How long is recovery?

Many people feel much better within a few days, though full healing of the gum takes longer. We will give you a plan for your own case.

Can I go to work the next day?

Often yes for desk work, but it depends on how difficult the extraction was. Ask us at the visit.
